New year and stuff
Since my last post, I got promoted out of tech support and into a job administering our Windows servers. The shift is kinda sucky (overnight shift), but the pay is good and I really like what I'm doing now. The holidays came and went, and for the first time since I was in school I had more than a few days off for the holidays. We spent most of the holiday in Bradenton at my Mom's place. We arrived the Thursday before Xmas and stayed until the Tuesday after. My sister, aunt, 2 cousins, and grandparents came to visit too, and it was good to see the family. I bought Tania an iPod photo, and she got me a Nintendo DS. Side note: whoever makes a PDA-like app for this thing is going to make a killing. Tania and I went to Busch Gardens in Tampa the Sunday after Xmas. It was good to have a day to ourselves in the park. It was a bit chilly, but there was hardly anyone in the park and lines for the roller coasters were nonexistent.
I found out from my stepfather that his brother was in Phuket, Thailand when the tsunami hit with his wife and 2 kids. It's a miracle that they all survived and made it back home OK. My stepfather mentioned that his brother was interviewed, and I found the article online:

I hope everyone has a safe and prosperous new year!
